Claire has written feature stories, book reviews, a commencement speech, an apology letter, a campaign platform and numerous blog posts. She has contributed to NPR’s How I Built This, Calvin University’s Chimes Newspaper, The Knightly Podcast, The Student Aspect, Whosoever.org, Medium and the blogs of nonprofits Congressional Management Foundation and New Moms Chicago.

As a student of journalism and former co-host and producer of her school newspaper’s podcast, The Knightly, she’s interviewed an asylee entrepreneur from Afghanistan, classmates who voted for Trump in 2020, a professor whose job was under review for budget cuts, Michigan high school students facing mental health challenges, a former Obama White House staffer and produced an episode of a conversation her co-host had with the only openly nonbinary student at Calvin University.
