Claire Murashima is a producer for NPR’s Morning Edition and Up First. She’s reported on what it’s like living with OCD, her efforts to live without plastic, internet culture, and dating. You can find her work for NPR here.

In May 2021, she graduated with a bachelor’s in business from Calvin University, where she spent a semester learning about politics in Washington, a semester learning about social entrepreneurship in Chicago, and her last year as student body president. She got her start in journalism co-hosting a podcast through her student newspaper and then worked for Michigan Public before joining NPR in 2022.

She has the most fun journaling, riding her bike, and testing the limits of her gluten intolerance.
